In the ninth week, I have realized that I could relate to the Social Control Theory better. While studying different theories, I wondered why there are so many deviant acts around us, yet so many people do not commit a harmful deviant act. If the concept of deviance means learning from each other, then people should have known the negative actions from each other, and everyone would have become negative. However, this is not the reality.
